The Math tutoring is a “walking-in” in-person and virtual tutoring service (no appointment need) for students to get help with your math homework/assignments. Three qualified tutors are available at any given hour to work with students on a one-on-one basis for short periods as needed. Our math tutors can conduct the study sessions, advising on how to study for math courses, and provide tips on their own pathway to succeed in multiple math courses at our in-person and virtual math tutoring service.

In addition to the ARC's in-person and online tutoring services, LAVC students also have access to online tutoring through NetTutor, a great option for extended hours of operation or subjects not covered by ARC. As a third-party company, NetTutor provides trained tutors to cover a wide variety of subjects with extended hours of operation for some subjects. In fact, math, English, and statistics tutoring is offered 24/7.

  • NetTutor should be accessible in your Canvas course menu under "NetTutor." If it's not visible, the ARC's NetTutor Canvas site is the one place to connect to NetTutor. This site also provides instructions, a list of subjects, and tutoring hours. When you visit the ARC's NetTutor site, you'll see "Enroll in LAVC NetTutor," but this just connects you to NetTutor—you're not enrolling in a course.
